Walvis Bay,

Pink flamingos in
the lagoon of Walvis Bay. This not very deep and sheltered area of
45 000 hectares, in the south-west of the city and in the west of
the mouth of Kuiseb, attracts many water birds. The marsh accommodates
the half of the population of the flamingos of Southern Africa.
