During a silent reflective moment the Orator stood up and proclaimed
"This Is To Be Remembered And Not Forgotten", to the shock
of every one
in the room. He spoke it again slower and much louder. And yet a
third
time, sullen, loud and slow. To describe the feeling, it was as if
our
own Souls had given up hope on us and all mankind alike.
The nearest thing that could record was immediately enlisted. With
the tape recording, we sat like children waiting for a confirming
glance from a gentle parent.
After a while the Orator began looking around the room as one gazing
at
decorations strewn about and then he spoke.
The rest is on tape.
The buttons needed to say something so we named them,
but it actually has no title nor section titles the Orator had
merely been
commenting on a recent completion of something begun a very long
time ago and
we were all reflecting on its meaning when.......fiery eyed and
lucid he spoke
candidly, with out stopping, at times with tears in his eyes. With
passionate
consecration he astonished us all with the Spirit filled
telling of the
origins of the XIan faith and the building of the 'house of
XI'.
The decision to share this Oration with others was already decided
by the opening
statement "This Is To Be Remembered And Not Forgotten".
